Are you looking for a last-minute Christmas craft idea? If so, this is a simple D.I.Y project that brings joy to you and the people who receive it. When we are creating something for someone special, we reflect on relationships and our gratitude towards them.
In this article, I will walk you through how to create a last-minute Christmas craft.
What you need

For ornaments:
- paper (I used scrapbook paper)
- scissors
- jute twine
- glue stick
- scotch tape
- the pattern for a tetrahedron (time saver)
How to make a last-minute Christmas craft
Ornaments

Step 1: Print out the tetrahedron pattern (or really any shape you like), and cut out the shape.
Next, place it on a piece of paper and trace the shape. In my case, I was able to squeeze three on the sheet. Then cut them out.
I didn’t mark the lines where you need to fold. You may want to mark those lines although it is optional.

Step 2: Fold all 3 glue tabs and lines to make triangles. Then glue one tab to make it into a 3D shape.
Step 3: Taping some twine where the top will be. Once it’s done, fill with any treat you like. This time, I used kisses. Now close up the lid part and tape both edges.

- green (cedar)
- hole punch
- scissors
- pinking shear
- card stock (cream & red)

First of all, cut the card stock (cream) into smaller pieces. Then cut the red with pinking shears. Since the red ones go on the creamy ones, the red one needs to be smaller in dimension.
Second, pinch off the greens to size and fit them on the red card stock. Once you adjust the size, glue them onto the red card stock as you can see in the picture.
While you are waiting for the glue to dry, write a message on the cream card stock. As you can imagine, it will be harder to write anything once the red one is attached.

I also added individual names on the red ones with white color pencil. I think it looks quite pretty!
Now glue them together, and make a hole for some twine (pink & white). I cut mine roughly 20cm/8inches long. That will go through the jute twine loop that is already on the ornament. Finally, tie a bow!

Mission Accomplished

As the end of the year approaches, I reflected on 2020. It has been challenging, but there are positive things happened in my life.
One in particular, I met amazingly caring colleagues who I laugh and joke with. I just wanted to show my gratitude by making something with my personal touch. How lucky to be a part of caring community!
Merry Christmas!
